Default Seagull Models Edge 540

Nice pic, you can tell it's warm there. In my pics I resemble something more like the Michelin man :-)

Well guys, round 2 of Edge repairs have gone well, the bits that I put together last time survived the last 1 wheel landing so must have done an ok job on the repairs. I'm hoping the weather will hold out this weekend for a bit more action if so will try for some more pics.

Adjusted my Tailevator setup now so that the tail halves do not move in unison with the ailerons. I am hoping to find out if this will make the plane a bit more conventional in the turns. My previous experience with the Edge was that in anything other than a very wide sweeping turn, the plane would drop huge amounts of altitude. I put this down to the increased drag of all 4 control surfaces washing off airspeed but perhaps this is a knock on effect of too much frontal weight with the big 120 for the lift area. Still I would have thought that the big donk would also pull it round better. I will test this weekend (hopefully) and let you all know.

cheers!
