Ryguy is right , that motor should rip the wing off that plane!!! as far as weight goes don't believe the manufacturers lies!!! Many of them just weigh unassembled components and are not even close to reality!!!! And thats with recommended equipment!!! If you get a close look at the competition models they fly in contest they don't use most of the carbon and instead use kevlar thread to lighten them up... The reason is they are looking for all out performance and don't care about durability.. If it holds together during the competition thats enough!!! Although I've haven't seen a vvp on a bi-plane... I do agree that the flatout are terrible plane to build and not even worth half the money they charge for a inferior product.. Good idea and badly executed with inferior material.. The good news is you have the best flying of the flatout group..... Let me know how it goes...
