Default RE: CMP Kits – Problems and Solutions

proulxlaw, i'm with you !! bought a CMP p-26 peashooter from alix @ ak last fall. i am now well into the "BUILD". so far i have added stringers inside the fues, re fiberglassed the inside if the nose clear back to the rear of the wing saddle, recovered the tail feathers and wing with century 21 fabric. now i have installed the supplied main gear and it looks very scary to me. it is about 2" back from the leading edge. i may have been born at night, but it was not LAST nite.... looks like i'll have to bend up my own gear now to prevent the "nose over" problem i've heard so much about...
i would never buy another CMP kit again !!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is much easier building a plane, than it is "rebuilding" these arfs...
hardware is junk, instructions are useless, quality is nonexistant, and price is not that great either !!!!!!!!!
i wonder how they fly ???
mike
ps: i think i'll bash another hog bipe from sig.
