Default RE: Chip Hyde's Cap-X - Building & Flying

Hi all,

I'm building a CapX again. It's the new paint scheme now and will go back to my favorite engine, the Moki... but this time I'm going with a new Moki 1.35 to see how that does. In my old CapX the Moki 1.80 would do almost unlimited vertical with a Bambula 18x10 and I though way over powered. This new paint scheme is a little wild for me so I found a NIB CapX in the older Red, Blue and White version and have that also. Guess the build of the older paint scheme will come later in the summer but I'll go back to the Moki 1.80 on that. Between these two CapX's I have to try and finish the Giant U-Can-Do and my old vintage 1985 Sig Clipped Wing 1/4 scale Cub. I'll be busy this summer.

Glad to see you guys have this thread back up and running on Chip's CapX. It's one of the best flying planes I have ever had and I say that with some experience as I flew my first RC in very early 1960. So been around a time or two. I'll post some images of my build as I get into it, and be glad to pass along any information I have gleaned from the first build if it's needed.

Ragards,
