turn the set screw on the pump out about 4 to5 threads and set the carb around 1.5 turns out on the high side and 1.25 out on low side. when you get it started re tune your carb to run a little rich. the pump pushes alot of fuel through the carb so you must run the carb settings alot leaner. if this is a new engine make sure not to run it to lean.
