On linkages less than 8" Just run fully threaded 4-40 rod trough CF tube with a nut on each end. Your not saving weight but you are adding rigidity and bling.

IMO if you use the JB weld method on anything less than 6 or 8 inches your not saving any weight and your adding a possible point of failure.
