I have never used any weight on a plane. I built this kit and needed no weight. I used the Magnum XLS 52 two stroke on mine and it was a nice combo. The last thing I do when building my plane is mount the battery pack to avoid adding weight. I check the cg without the battery mounted. I balance inverted and slide the battery along the fuse and mount it where it needs to be.
