Default RE: Brillelli 25GT on CMP Spitfire

Sturtz: How was that Tiger 2300 for power? It must have been close to or more than the 25GT? Thanks Capt,n
Whole differant type of power to compare. The G2300 was a typical two stroke but had the ST carb problems. Decent idle, deadly full throttle and the rest was either mushy or a deadstick. It does have a ton of power though and many will put it side by side with any 140 made except maybe YS. Because of it's lack of dependabillity it didn't stay on there long . Wanna buy one with a Pitts muffler John ?

I am glad to see you are getting 8600RPM out of yours. Mine is turning 8300RPM right now with the same prop and she is still not broke in. My cowl covers the entire engine except the venturi stack and muffler so I ask Scott about this and he suggested a mode to the daiphragn plate. I made this mode so know I am going to the field tomorrow and see how is wotks.
Mine is not broke in fully either Jim. It is running stronger everytime so I know it's getting there. I don't want to run too lean quite yet.
I still get a tiny bit of black oil waste from the pipe. Scott say's this will go away after it's had a few gallons ran thru it.
I wish I had a vid camera to show you the first flight. A buddy has one but he's out of town alot so I might just have to write the post report. I'm really itching to fly this thing. Being a Spitfire I don't really need to worry about unlimited vertical, but I do hope for plenty of low-end torque for takeoffs and landings. The plane is fast regardless of what engine you put on it. (Within reason of course.) I'm sure the 25cc will perform fine in the speed area.
Jim,,, your touch and go takeoffs looked effortless on your last vid. The GT25 must have plenty of thrust for a 10 to 13LB plane. Correct ?

P.S. Thank you for the concern over the tornadoes. I hope we and our planes will survive another season of these cyclones.
