Dude welcome to the broken clutch spring club.I think all or at least most of us with the volcano,have the same problem.Replace that spring with a traxxas spring,but keep the same clutch
shoes on it.Ive wanted to run mine over a bunch of times,but if you listen to some of the guys on here.They will get you through your problem.Great group of people on here....

Just try the traxxas spring before you return it.It is a great truck once you can debug it.Ive bought 2 myself,actually 3,but one was a b-day present for my brother.We both use the traxxas spring and no more problems with it.
