Ok,, found the culprit tonight. A bad aileron extension from the RX at certain vibrations was causing the glitch. I did several other tried and true RFI cures and fixes while I had it apart as I was narrowing down the list of suspected causes. So it wasn't all bad after all. Better safe than sorry,,, yet as you know we can have the sorry happen anytime to anyone .

Next decent day I'll try it again.
