It was no big deal running the servo wires through the fuse. I have replaced the rudder servo. No problem. Just use a little fishing line. It looks much cleaner when they are on the inside.

I would not recommend doing it before sheeting. It is not necessary, but also it would be a big hassle to work around the servo during the building and covering phase.
