Got a gms .47 on mine,great motor.More then enough power.Mines in need of a repair job now though,broke the fuse right off at the leading edge of the wing.Still a great airplane though.Mine is from the earlier version when it was aces1,real poor quality balsa.I've also got the newer version with the laser cut parts and balsa usa wood,120% improvement

It not any louder than a 46 and tower hobbies muffler. Its motor isn't really thought loud. Its the 10x4APC prop turning at 15,000 in where the real noise comes from
