Default Hatori 693 pipe

Central Hobbies Header and Hatori 693 pipe.....The Asano pipe are quieter....and I have not tried one yet....

The ES pipes are louder than the Hatori's...even on the 2 strokes....People say they are quieter but the sound is a little different...on a meter they are noisy about 1-2db over the standard stuff....The make a gaaazzzzoooo time sound....

I have not had much luck with them they eventually will start to weep oil even if you use the right amount of teflon tube and so on....I treated one really nice for a two months and it started to leak....the resin is not up to the temps....IMHO.....they are of the best quality and are literally work of art....I don't need the weight savings...They seem to be well liked by the 2 stroke guys....I liked the Hatori 900 (OS pipe) when running my EFI...seemed to work the best...

but I have 3 of them if anyone is interested....cheap.

From what I have seen the Asano stuff is a bit better on the higher temps....The headers are different...and because of the header design and the way it fits into the pipe maybe its helping the heat issue...I know Quique's plane was very quiet and still same power as we had.....Also from the specs the Asano stuff is almost as light as the ES stuff....

I'm not biased in anyway just relaying my experiences many are very thrilled with the ES pipes....Ed is a nice guy and works very hard on a good product....I just like it bit more simple.....The Hatori is easy to setup and has never failed me......I plugged one up once it had tons of flights and got some teflon stuck down in it....plugged it up good...I cut it apart then had it welded back together.....works fine.
