RE: CMP Hellcat
Great News!!! I'm very glad to hear there are more canpoies coming. I'm in no rush at all. It'll be some time until I'm at that point. I'm a sloooow builder and have on ein the works already. In fact, might even pm you for an opinion on a generic wing sheeting question I have. (I'm sick of reading threads on wing sheeting and none address my question). Anyway, when I do get to working on hellcat #2, I'll post the work on this thread and keep it going.
You posted some detail on the tailwheel earlier in this thread. I'll use that if that's the same notes you're speaking of? If you have any unposted tech tips, I'd be very happy to have them.
Are you done with your's yet? Still painting? I'm curious to know what your final weight came to be? And then.. of course.. how she flies!
Flew mine a few times a couple weeks ago. I'm much more comfortable with her now. Greased landings with flaps.... overshoot runway without. Even without all the scale trimmings, the big Hellcat is a majestic bird on the ramp.
