I just switched my 9CHP overr to a synthesized module. I love it!
I have been carrying around 2 modules and 4 Tx crystals, just to avoid the same situation.

Your Hitec receivers will work just fine with the module.
As long as you stay in the receivers band you will not have a problem.
11-36 is low band 37-60 is high band.
