I've now built 3 of these planes all with stock hardware. except hinges used ca type. I have had no problems with anything. I lost count of the number of flights on these plane but it's up there. I used Ca hinges and doubled what the plans call for. The metal are fine but I saved a bunch of weight with ca. I used the Sig brand of hinges. They work really good. I have had no problems with the wheel pants on any of the planes they are preety stronge but you do have to do some trimming to ensure there is no tension on the part that goes on back. If there is it will crack.
This plane will hover but only if you have a pump on the motor and 18x6 pro zinger or 18x8 mejzlik prop.
