Blade covering problems!
I used to monokote all my blades before I started using glass, many moons ago. Just do the top first, leaving about 1/4 inch to over lap the bottom, then wrap that 1/4 inch around the trailing edge and on the bottom. Then the rest around the leading edge and cut even with the Trailing edge, making sure it has at least the 1/4 inch over lap. Make sure it is all on tight and do it only in 1 piece, not 2. It works well and holds up better than the heat shrink stuff.
