I stopped using covering on wood blades. One coat of clear butyrate dope, sand them smooth put contrasting color tape on the ends, another coat of butyrate to seal the tape, and balance, both static and dynamic. The give them a couple more coats, varying the thickness to get the final balance.

One or two rotors, gotta have twin motors.
