I know the turret has a noticeable seam dividing the top and bottom halves. Can this be filled with putty/epoxy or should it be left alone so one can disassemble the turret for maintenance issues, etc.?
If you can hide the seam, go for it! I have worked on the recoil unit and removed my barrel and mantle several times and never even considered taking the turret apart. As far as I'm concerned, once it is built it is built.
......just my opinion, though.
