RE: DP Ultimate with Saito 220
Yeah thats the only roadblock. I can either get another Saito 180 cheap (selling my new one in my H9 260) or try the YS 1.40. I was planning on mounting the Saito 180 inverted anyways. Even when I had the smaller DP ULtimate I mounted my engine inverted to help with the lateral balance. So I would do the same if I went with the 220. I just have heard that some people dont think the YS 1.40 is enough? I run my Saito on 30% heli fuel and it has much better performance on that. The specific blend is the Curtis Youngblood mix.
To me enough power is like hovering under half throttle and insane pull out. The cost of the engine dont bother me so if I am going to have one glow plane it will have the best of a glow engine ect.
I was thinking of the new DP ultimate for the DA 50. When I last spoke with Sandy she said it would be released soon. I want to stick to 35% and 40% for now - of course with the exception of the DP Ultimate and the foamies and the DA 50 will find a home on the basher plane.
I noticed in some other posts you had problems making the Ultimate tail heavy enough? I was planning on just mounting the RX battery back in the tail to solve that one. I am going to run a 2800mah lion.
