Yes, but at least that way you'll get the right answer instead of wondering if:
1) whomever gives you an answer knows how to use a ruler
2) if they do, that they measured very carefully
3) if they measured from the same points
4) if they explained it correctly so that what you think they mean is what they really meant
5) there wasn't a tweak in the production run resulting in a slightly new hole location
6) manufacturing tolerances are close enough that where someone else says their hole is located actually matches your example.
So, sure, if you think it's easier....
Also, in the time it's taken to 1) post your question, 2) read my first response, 3) write your response, you could have done it and be on to the next step
