Ok guys, so I'm puttin the thing together and I get to the part where it says to find the hold down bolt holes in the wing and cut away the covering...there are no holes in my wing...can one of you guys give me the center of the hole location?..I called tower support and they offered to send me a new set of wings! I said no thats not necessary just give me the location, but they said because of the warranty that they had to send them to me...so I may as well drill this first set anyway....can ya help?...Rog

Can you line them up based on where in the fuse the bolts should thread in to? An old trick I've used in some kits to locate and drill wing bolt holes was to thread a short bolt or chunk of threaded rod (or bolt with the head cut down) in to the fuse. Thread it in so that it just barely sticks up past the wing saddle, then put the wing on, and press gently. If done right, you get a small dent where the bolt touched the wing, and that's where you drill.

Yes, but at least that way you'll get the right answer instead of wondering if:
1) whomever gives you an answer knows how to use a ruler
2) if they do, that they measured very carefully
3) if they measured from the same points
4) if they explained it correctly so that what you think they mean is what they really meant
5) there wasn't a tweak in the production run resulting in a slightly new hole location
6) manufacturing tolerances are close enough that where someone else says their hole is located actually matches your example.
So, sure, if you think it's easier....
Also, in the time it's taken to 1) post your question, 2) read my first response, 3) write your response, you could have done it and be on to the next step

I was kiddin man..I read Montys stuff all the time ,,I forgot that everyone elses plane would have the scoop on it too..anyhow I went to a flyin a few years back and they handed me a goody bag on my way out,,I looked at it and its a bunch of .40 stuff so I put it on the shelf (I'm a 1/2A flyer)..just found it and there is a plastic 4-20 bolt in it so I cut it in half sharpened the ends screwed them in and now I'm waiting for my dremel batt to charge (which happens just about every time I need to use it) to cut down the front tang that doesnt fit in the hole....so that I can perfectly match up the holes ,while I wait on Tower to send out my other wing,,which btw I will probably need as I dont get to much time at the field(work at night 6 nights a week),so my skills are lacking, nah if I get an extra wing..Murphy will take over and I'll crash and total the plane but the wing will come out unscratched[X(]......Rog

Oh, I figured you were joking around, and my reply was mostly in jest anyway, esp the lists there. I was trying to think of as many things as possible to put on there. So don't worry, I was going along with the joking on this end

ok so SAK has taken hold and now I'm missing part of the kit, and there are a few wierd things too,,the picts show 2 balsa sticks one you tack in to hold the tank in while you button up the engine and tank but the other is a huge stick that you use to permantently hold the tank in place..I looked at the pics 100 times before I saw that..I drilled the hole for the throttle tube too high and have to redo it ,,ordered Hitec instead of Futaba servos and had to file to fit them..misplaced the elevator horn....SAK?..smart ass karma[&o]
thank you Monty for the help..maybe this will help
