If you are eating up spur gears either you have a problem or are not setting the mesh properly. I have the same spur gear on all my nitro’s including my Savage for many gallons. Do not know if they make a metal one for your truck but if you have something wrong or do not set the mesh properly it may last longer but there will still be problems in the long run.
