Default RE: 80 cc to 100cc conversion engines

ORIGINAL: KenLambert

it will do some shakeing all right , the 100cc sachs would shack a lot, my guess is don't run the engine on the plane with the wings off it may sling the tailfeathers plum off.
I was always told that was rule #1 on a gas plane.

NEVER run it without the wings attached. They act as a tremendous vibration dampener.

I saw a guy running a gas engine on a plane without the wings on. I told him a couple times that he was going to shake the airframe apart. He wouldn't listen. Thought I was an idiot--and the look in his eyes told it all.

About 2 minutes later--horizontal stab came flying off. Basically ruined the plane. If it was fixable at all--I'll bet it took 40 hours to rebuild it.

DUH!! Jackass!! [sm=lol.gif]

I laughed outloud as loud and hard as I could muster. MMMWWWWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! TOLD YA!! MMMWWWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I love watching arrogant A-Holes stick their foot down their own throat.
