A friend built one for turbine, he did upgrade the elevator shafts. May have been 8mm, I'm not sure. I'll get him to chime in later and let you know. I think he made some kind of jig as well to keep everthing in line. He replaced the sleeves as well. Good luck with it, it's a very nice flying plane.
