A friend upgraded his Avonds F15 to turbine and did not change the shafts from the 6mm originals.
The model was powered by a TJT2500 and unfortunately was lost after one taileron shaft broke. It could not be determined if there was any prior damage to the shaft i.e. any nicks in the carbon shaft before the crash.
For peace of mind I would change them out.
