RE: E-flite Ultimate FX
I maidened my Ultimate FX yesterday with an e-flite 370 geared motor, a 12 X 6 prop and a TP1320 mah li-po. Results: did not fly very well, nose heavy and motor got real hot even though I had a heat sink installed.
For the second flight this morning, I added weight to the tail to get the CG more in line, changed the prop to a 12 X 3.8. It did much , much better this time with plenty of power to hover, fast climbs and regular aerobatics plus the motor just got warm, not hot at all. So I think this is the perfect set up for me.
Question: Has any of you had the same CG problem with your Ultimate FX? I hate to ad weight to the plane, but could not figure out how to place the battery in a different position to correct the CG problem.
