Default RE: maingear problem

ORIGINAL: shift_350zz

now i got the motor to run, by buying a new esc.. i also changed the main gear because there was a couple teeth missing...

now i went to get some flight time and now for some reason the motor is now spinng the main gear the wrong way... its spinnging the main gear but the blades arent getting any power...

looking from the top of the heli, the blades are suppose to move clockwise, same with the gears?? when i throttle up, the motor is spinning the gear counterclockwise from top view...
The polarity on the motor is reversed.

If it's a brushless motor (3 wires), swapping two of the three wires going to the ESC may reverse the direction. Try different combinations of swaps. Doesn't matter which two you swap ... a brushless motor is essentially a 3 phase motor. Swapping one pair of phases (two wires) will change the direction of operation.

If it's a brushed motor (2 wires), reverse the wires going to the ESC. If the wires from the motor has a non-polarized connector (can be connected in two ways), just unplug the connector, flip it, and plug it back in. If the connector is polarized (can be plugged in only one way) then you may have to unsolder the wires from the motor, flip the wires, and resolder.

Good Luck,
