Here's one I don't think many people have tried. I've seen a few things on using a Futaba Tx with the Blade, but how about the reverse?
Can I use a Futaba or GWS 4ch FM receiver with a ch21 crystal together with the Blade CP transmitter (which in my case is ch21)? What I'm aiming to do is get into the fixed wing world too with a GWS Slowstick by outfitting the stick with a GWS 4 channel FM receiver and using my Blade CP transmitter as a 3 channel radio until I get around to spending the dough on a real transmitter (which I will do eventually when I get my next heli, just not right now, probably will get the 9ch Futaba so I don't need to buy another for a looong time).
I've been told that the GWS and Futaba 4ch FM receivers are pretty much interchangeable with each other, but I don't know whether the FM signal from the Blade Tx is compatible with them too. All I'd need from the TX would be 3 decodable channels (for elevator, rudder, and throttle on the slowstick), so I'd be counting on being able to use the collective pitch channel as the throttle channel and cross my fingers that I can ignore the effect of the throttle+collective mixing the CP Tx does.
