On my Formosa II I'm using www.awlhobbies.com $35 Art-tech 3800 brushless motor with gws gearbox included, also their 30Amp brushless esc (auto lipo cell count detect) $30. 2000mah 8C 3 cell lipo pack from www.commonsenserc.com two pack deal for $35 (yes $17.50 each). Using APC 11x4.7 prop (GWS also works well). Pack does not even get warm, plane will vertical until out of sight. Fun flying plane. Nice and light, floats on the air with no power.
