Finedesign gets his Micro Drifters from Hydro & Marine ( www.hydromarine.de ), if you go to that site and select the Micro series, you'll see all versions of the Micro Drifter with the suggestioned motorizing...

The standard cellcount for the 480 motor is seven (8,4V), the other numbers you mentioned refer to the controller.

Small cats are sometimes difficult to set up, so don't dispair and keep trying!
