3 cell lipo, yeh I guess so. You could have tried it on 8 cells and that would only have been 9.6 volts.

Yeah, 8 would have probably worked decent, problem is I only have various 6 cell packs and a few lipos, I haven't run electric stuff in a few years- besides my planes which is why I have some lipos, so I need some new cells/packs. When I bought the astro flite motor, I picked up a 6 cell 3700 pack, so that should work decently. If I like it, I may have an 8 and 10 cell pack made up for it also, we'll see how it goes today.

Heheheheh- I just got back from running it- I haven't stopped laughing yet!! On the 6 cell, this thing is BRUTAL!! Lol- almost the whole time is it at full throttle, it is only riding on the prop and the right sponson . Pretty wicked!! Did a couple of barrell rolls on me, but nothing tragic. This is one fun little boat. I'd like to put it up against my 12 cell brushless hydro- I think it would be a good run on the straights! Just nervous to turn at speed since it likes to roll so easily. I'll have to get video to show you guys.

Hey GRK- you still reading? I am not an ebay fan, but I found this earlier- http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-MBC-60...QQcmdZViewItem

This one ended, but he has others. For $40, I may have to try it just to see if it works! I have a Hacker 70 in both of my boats, so I don't need another one but it is worth buying just to see how well it works- hell, it's about 1/4 the price!!!

Interesting, I wonder if it works with a Pistol Grip Radio?

Dunno.. I know I modified an old futaba pisto grip once so it would release the trigger all the way in order to use an airplane ESC and it worked great, so worst case.....
