if it's stopping when you're hitting the brakes, you need to adjust your idle speed screw. you turn the screw clockwise to make the throttle more open. you want to set the idle as low as you can without it dying.


now if the car will not run when it's sitting still and the carb is properly adjusted, then it's a broken clutch spring.
