Default RE: HOTT ENGINE. NEED HELP

For one thing dont really pay attention to temps as long as your not running it lean and these no air leaks then i wouldnt worry about it. To many people get all caught up in engine temps and there always complaining about tuning them. As i said as long as your not running it lean and have an air leak then you should be fine. But i would highly reccomend cutting holes in the windshield of your body on the drivers side to allow air to pass through, and cool off the engine when running with the body on. This may bring up the temp of your engine when running with the body on and will cause the engine undo stress because of the heat. Just cut those holes in the wind shield mak sure it's not running lean and make sure there is no air leak and you'll be fine. As long as your running the engine rich and theres no air leak then you should never have to worry about the engine temp.

Just do regular maintence such as cleaning the truck and make sure the fins on the head are clean of any debree and make sure to clean your air filter often. And maybe even seal of the engine such as 46u has stated in the post above. But the holes in the body are almost a must and should be done before taking it out again.
