Default RE: My first 50 cc engine

I know the DA 50 is a great engine and runs very strong, but there are some other engines that are out there that will do the job and you can save quite a bit of money. I run Brillelli engines right know and I to had some trouble at first with them. But once again it was me and not the engine. Scott and Mark at Brillelli give the best customer service I have ever seen and their engines are first rate. I have a little 25GT engine I got from them and it spins a APC 18x8 sport prop and 8000RPM. Almost unheard of for an engine of that size.

Brillelli is just about to release a new 54cc and 60cc engine special built for RC planes. Scott well be testing these engines this week and he is sure they will be very close to weight and power of a DA-50 and at a much lower cost. I am already sold on one of these engines just because of the customer support I got after the sale of my first engine. That is way I bought another 25GT engine from Brillelli. Zippi is right these engines rock for the price.

I am building a 80" Cap 232 that I plan on installing a Brillelli 54cc engine in when it is released.
