Mister Meyer is not using enough torque. That is not a design flaw, that is mister Meyer not using enough torque.
According to instructions on the Brisk UR17 wrap, the plug needs to be torqued 1/16th of a revolution if the plug boot were not there. The plug boot being an extra part will increase that value slightly, so the plug should be tightened slightly more than 1/16th turn after it seats.
