RE: H9 Cub 80" Floats
I just flew the hangar 9 80" cub on floats this past weekend. I installed the Great Planes Fiberglass ARF float set, without the ventral fin. You have to make some modifications for the rearward float gear to mount to the fuse, but no problem at all. The plane has a YS .63 on it for power, and the combo flew very well! I installed the floats so that there is 1-1/2-2 degrees of positive incidence in the wing compared to the top of the floats, and the step location lined right up without modification. There was plenty of power, nothing crazy happened at power just above idle at level flight. Very enjoyeable. Here is a picture:
