The first diesel engine I ever flew successfully was a David-Andersen 2.5, and that was back in the 1950s.

Hi Lou.. Yes, it is family name of the norwegian engine constructor, his whole name is Jan David-Andersen. He is about over 80 year old today and still going strong.. The David-Andersen family own the jeweler factory and jeweler shop in Norway.
