Like I mentioned in another of your threads, the closest field and clubs to you are in Corona and Trabuco Canyon. I can help you get in touch with the Corona club so you can begin taking lessons. I also know that there is no safe place for you to learn 'by yourself' in all of OC, at least not with a traditional glow trainer.

There are rumors of a new field being developed in Irvine in several months, but you can't count on that right now. You will likely solo in just a few lessons, but the sim will NOT teach you to fly a plane. Join AMA, a club and start your lessons, so you can fly on your own after summer is over.

Also, pick a college with a RC field on campus.
