Actually we are planning to use a Dewalt Drill motor to power a 60 inch model of the Red October. We have used them very successfully to power 1/6 scale combat tanks that shoot paintballs. Plenty of torque. If you really want some fun look at wheel chair motors that are used to power combat robots.
