Hi Jason, I know this is probably not much use to your poll but I use Multiplex radio gear with their superb IPD 12 channel Rx's which has 3x battery input sockets using built-in regulator circuitry for up to 6 cell packs. Probably the best r/c system available with the most powerful Tx signal strength I have seen. Mpx also invented the digital servo and is the preferred radio gear used by at least one NASA sub contractor company I know of for Mars Flyer research flights at around 100,000 feet.

In fact as the advert goes....Carlsberg don't make radio gear, but if they did it would probably be Multiplex.
