I would not suggest a SCALE plane until your 3rd (4th is better ) plane. Most newcomers normally go to a low wing taildragger for a second plane.

There are several good ones out there - 4 star, Tiger II, World Models Rambler (ARF only ). Any of those planes will take you to the next level of flying (basic aerobatics and taildraggers ). These are a "Point and Go" type plane. They are not as forgiving as a trainer, but not so advanced that you will be overwhelmed trying to handle them.
