RE: Next Plane
I've got to agree with Campy here, for more than one reason. There are actually 2 reasons why you want to wait for the Top Flight Cessna. First is flying. Even though it's got a high wing it doesn't fly like a trainer does. It's going to take some skills to stay on top of it and keep it from being re-kitted. Also, this plane isn't designed to take rough handling like a trainer is. Rough landing can and will do a lot of damage to a plane like this. The second reason is building. Your LT-40 was designed to be built by a beginner. It is designed to be an easy and straight forward build. The Top Flight Cessna is designed with the builder in mind. Meaning a modeler that has building experience under their build. In the hobby it's referred to as a "builder's kit". The construction of a plane like this can be totally different from what you experienced with the LT-40. On a builder's kit there are things that they don't explain how to do because they assume you know what you are doing and you have experienced building. Also, this is a larger plane. Mistakes like poorly fitting parts and gaps between parts won't do much to a smaller plane like your LT-40. But when you get to a bigger and heavier plane things like that can be a killer for the plane. If the structure isn't built true and solid the plane can literally fall apart in the air.
With these points in mind you may want to get some more experience under your belt before tackling this plane. Make it a 3rd or 4th plane that you fly. And get some more building experience before building this one. I'm not trying to rain on your parade here, but I would rather give you some bad news now than to see you hurting after you have spent the time and money on this plane just to see it crash.
Hope this helps.
