Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

lol Downtrodden -- I had a similar experience the other day , but I was trying to land a corsair that had a dead throttle servo, stuck at 1/4 throttle. Too fast to just plop it down, and not quite enough to do a go around with any authority.

As I make my first final attempt, and realize it hasn't throttled back one of the electric/foamy/micro heli guys come up to me and starts asking me about what engine I think he should put in a funtana if he gets one, cause his brother works in a hobbyshop - Here's how my brain was processing info cause he wouldn't shut up, even though I was clearly having problems with the plane I had in the air. I did not respond to any of his conversation during this whole thing.

Ok- on final, throttle back - hrm, my plane won't slow down, now I've overshot the runway, throttle up and expect to pull out, but what's this, now it won't throttle up, hmm ok I think it's still flying need to be really gentle to keep it from stalling, ....do you think I need I need to put brand x servos in that Funtana, cause someone told me that they need a strong servo....good - plane is gaining a little altitude - circle around to the left - too much wind to come in downwind, so I'm gonna need to get it all the way back around, 30 ft altitude, just don't bank it too much and stall......and i think I might go electric on that funtana, what do you think about the Axi blabbity blah blah blah, with an 80 amp ESC....ok still turning - Holy crap where did the telephone poles come from??? Those weren't here last time I flew at this field?? - hmm - I just flew between 2 of them I think, keep on climbing.....Yeah I'm thinking of recovering the funtana to make it look like a warbird, cause I like the look of the P-51....ok turning on final, does my throttle kill still work? No, must be the servo then. welp I'm gonna have to put it in fast and pray be ready to put on high rate ele once it......and I think I'll just put a Saito 125 on that plane cause it's supposed to weigh 10 lbs, and it should hover it real nice....ok 3 feet, touchdown , man it's rolling out fast.....anyway I'm not sure I want the funtana or a new heli....high rate ele switch see if I can keep the tail on the ground (bumpy runway)......but if I goit a new heli...Bah - plane caught a bump and flipped nose over tail--hope it's not damaged.....hey man -why'd your plane flip over like that?
