You're killing me Chris. I'm reminded of a flight I had when I was just starting out. The desert around the dry lake I fly at is grazed by cattle in the spring. The cattle had been moved up to the high country a few days earlier, but the blood sucking biting horse flies had stayed behind. I took off on my first flight of the day, and was immediately swarmed by these Mini-Twists. I was pretty green as a pilot, and needed every bit of concentration to fly the plane. These flies land, then bite the crap out of you. My theory was if I kept moving and wiggling, they wouldn't land. I danced a combination of the Funky Chicken and Watusi until I could bring it around and bounce it to a halt. While still dancing and swatting at the flies with my hat, I disassembled my plane and beat a retreat to the house.
