Default RE: Next Plane

It sounds like the only real negatives are the build proccess and not the flying abilities. (I have not flown one and am basing this on research I have done)
It is assumed that because you are flying a trainer now that you have no building skills. I make no such assumption. I am flying a trainer myself but it was not my first build, I have built numerous free flight and display models over the years as well as other non airplane builds that I can carry technics from. I think anyone that likes to build can build anything they want if they take their time, follow instructions and do some research when they are not sure of certain areas of the build. Only YOU can judge if you are ready for this build.
What low wing?
I was planning on a 4 Star 60 as my second plane but gave up on that because I got tired of waiting for the backorder. I do have a Hobbico Brightstar I bought used (out of production) that I will probably fly next followed by a Hanger9 AT-6 (ARF)or a Tommy Georges Thunderbird 60 (kit)that is on the build table right now.(talk about lack of instructions. 4 pages of text only, no pictures)
I doesn't hurt to have both a short term and long term build. My long term build is a Balsa USA 1/4 DR1 with full, Glen Torrence cockpit and 2 piece alumn. cowl. This model will be highly detailed and will take a couple of years to finish.(and most likely even longer before I have the skill to fly it)
Whatever you decide on I wish you the best.
