RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D
NO NO NO NO electric conversion !!!!! OS MAX
I know I repeat some of things other people say on the thread, but I feel when someone reads the same advice given by a few people, that it helps them decide to take that advice of what we all agree on. for most of us have been through these problems countless times, but even the newest of people can point out something overlooked by an experienced problem solver, after all, we are all human. ummmm Except Jack & DT,, they make me wonder sometimes... LOL
I'm thinking the same way as TimC, I would pull the needle valve and see if the spray bar is plugged, or maybe the needle is even bent a little blocking the hole at the point you probably need it at.
So Go with the TimC advice first, Maybe you guys maybe already have done that, but who knows, sometimes the dummest little thing will prevent it from working properly, and it sounds like a clogged line or valve, hole, somewhere. but with the tank working above the fuse just fine, I'm more inclined to think there is an Air leak somewhere, and it needs more gravity from the fuel to work right. maybe a carb screw is loose or there is a crack where the carb slides into the engine casing, or the needle valve area, check for cracks or a loose nut that holds on the valve, Check all the O rings on the needle and carb pieces, to make sure there not dry rotted or cracked or just seated wrong. and yes, the overheating is most undoubtably not enough fuel in there to help cool it down.
However the first thing I would have done was bought an OS Max, sorry,,, but I have known a few people to have problems with the Supertigres brand new out of the box, I want to get a ST 90 for my Jet & US 1000 because the price is so much more reasonable, but its the horror stories like yours that have kept me away, I hate engine problems right off the start. I also know people that have them and have no trouble at all. so to each his own I guess.
Good luck to you, I hope it is just something easy.
