What to use instead of tail-skid???
Here is the situation:
I originally built this Falcon III as a Tri-gear but I switched the landing gear design to a solid steel as pictured instead of the music wire gears. While doing so, I didn’t realize that I needed to move the gears a little bit further back on the fuselage. While I had the front gear attached the weight in front was not enough to place the forward weight onto the front wheel so I had to redesign into a tail-dragger. The reason in doing this was because the plane was already nose-heavy so I could not put any more weight in the front to push the wheel to the ground. The only thing I had at hand was the tail-skid pictured , and I realize that in hard landings that it won’t do diddly, so can I have some recommendations to use in place of the skid (or a bigger skid available) that I can attach, preferably with a 1” wheel, without having to remove the rudder and re-hinge.
Thank you.
