most military shaped planes have poor training characteristics.
This is the closest to a military trainer plane and it is outside your budget

The one I listed from Tower is a fine little trainer and leaves you some money for fuel and starting equipment and misc things you will need. Check around your base and community and see if there is a local club or navy club. Also check your local Hobby shop (LHS) and here

If you join a club the instruction should be free and you will meet a bunch of nice guys also interested in this hobby.
