I don't know about the G3 sim, I am flying the G2 myself.
I have found that the PT40 trainer in G2 is more touchy and harder to fly than my Kadet Senior, which is good, if I can do it on the sim I have every confidence in doing it with my Kadet.
As far as speed of controls ect..
I changed the visual size to X3 and found that not only is it easier to see but it seems to respond slower. I know it is just visually different but it really helps.
